Korean visitors to Khanh Hoa increased nearly 2 times compared to the golden age of 2019

According to Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, in 2023, this terminal served 16,000 flights with nearly 2.4 million passengers. Of which, the Korean passenger market grew 1.7 times compared to 2019. Currently, there are 21 airlines operating international routes from Korea, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Taiwan... to Cam Ranh.

Speaking at the gratitude ceremony organized by Cam Ranh International Terminal last night (December 26), Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan acknowledged the contributions of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company to the province's tourism industry, especially in restoring international tourist markets.

“The province’s goal in 2024 is to welcome 9 million tourists, including 3 million international visitors. I hope and believe that in the coming time, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company will coordinate with the provincial tourism industry to connect and open more international flights to Khanh Hoa, promoting the province’s tourism to continue to recover and develop,” Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan expects.

In addition, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also thanked the Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPP) for funding the planning of Van Phong Economic Zone and supporting the Covid-19 pandemic prevention fund; shared more about some of the province's socio-economic achievements in 2023 as well as development orientations for the coming time.

Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen - Chairman of IPP, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company acknowledged that the recovery of passenger numbers in 2023 is still quite modest compared to the growth rate of 2019. However, that success has opened up new opportunities, adding confidence for the company to target new passenger markets.

Currently, two traditional markets, China and Russia, have begun to recover with many positive signals. Marketing campaigns to new markets such as Central Asian countries also help to make the brand recognition of Khanh Hoa, Nha Trang, and Cam Ranh destinations increasingly clear on the tourism map of Asia and the world.

“By 2024, the company’s goal is not only to continue to be a pioneer in providing top-class airport services in Vietnam, but also to bring the company’s services closer to the standards of 5-star airports in Asia and the world. Thereby, developing more routes to new markets and more high-end customer segments, contributing to promoting the development of tourism in Khanh Hoa province,” said Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen.

On this occasion, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company also presented commemorative medals to 13 airlines with international flights to Cam Ranh, 2 representative companies and 2 ground service companies. In particular, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen's family and Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company donated 3 billion VND to the "For the Poor" fund of Khanh Hoa province.
