Destinations with shady spaces such as Tan Phong Islet (Cai Lay District) are popular with many tourists. However, according to tourist destinations in Tan Phong Islet, the number of visitors during this year's holidays is not as high as last year. At Chin Thuong Tourist Site, the number of visitors per day is more than 200, only half of the same period last year.

At Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village (Cai Be District), the number of tourists has not increased much. At Ba Duc Ancient House Tourist Site, the number of visitors to the ancient house has increased slightly compared to normal days, with about 150 - 200 visitors/day. The number of European visitors to the ancient house has decreased due to the end of the tourist season. Visitors to the ancient house are mainly Asian and domestic visitors.
“Due to the hot weather, the number of tourists traveling is also limited. The number of visitors is the same as last year, and the number of guests ordering food is higher,” added the owner of Ba Duc Ancient House Tourist Site.
In My Tho City, tourist attractions on Thoi Son Islet (Thoi Son Commune) attract a large number of domestic and international visitors. According to records, during the 4-day holiday, many tourists came to Thoi Son Islet to visit, travel and "avoid the heat". According to the Tien Giang Province Tourism Development Center, the number of tourists to the province increased sharply on the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year. From April 27 to 30, over 7,000 visitors passed through My Tho Tourist Wharf to visit Thoi Son Islet; of which, over 3,540 were domestic visitors and nearly 3,490 were international visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh Son, owner of Ky Lan Honey Tea Shop (Thoi Son Islet) shared: “The number of visitors during this holiday is relatively stable and has increased more than usual; on average, during the holidays, the place welcomes 200 - 300 groups of visitors. With the current hot weather, the place has also created many cool landscapes; stocked up on ingredients and drinks to promptly serve visitors.”

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Truc, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that this year, due to the hot weather and long holiday, she and her family chose Thoi Son Islet for a trip and to avoid the heat. After experiencing the feeling of rowing a boat and drinking honey tea, she felt very comfortable with the cool river scenery.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Director of Viet Nhat Tourism Company Limited, this year, the company received about 20% less tourists than last year; on average, the company received about 1,000 visitors to Thoi Son Islet every day. “There are many reasons for the decrease in tourists during this year's holiday. First of all, the airfare is too high. This is a barrier for tourists to Tien Giang, especially tourists from the Central and Northern provinces. In addition, this year's holiday is long, so tourists tend to travel further, specifically to Asian countries... In addition, the economic situation is still difficult, so people are frugal in spending, especially on non-essential expenses," Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong added.

In the eastern part of the province, Go Cong beach tourism also attracts many tourists during this holiday. However, due to the hot weather, tourists mainly come to visit and travel in the cool afternoon. Compared to previous years, this year, Tan Thanh beach tourism area is less crowded. However, the tourist dining spots along the Go Cong sea dike (from Tan Thanh commune to Kieng Phuoc commune, Go Cong Dong district) attract more tourists. In particular, Gocobay Dong Dieu tourist spot (Kien Phuoc commune) attracts a lot of people to visit and have fun.
According to the representative of Gocobay Dong Dieu Tourist Destination, on April 28, the unit organized artistic kite flying activities, aerodynamic kites and Gocobay Music Live Night with the number of guests receiving about 12,000 people; of which, about 60% were guests from Tien Giang, 30% were guests from Long An, and the remaining 10% were from neighboring provinces and cities.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Yen (Go Cong Tay district) shared: “This year’s holiday is so hot, so when the sun is cool, my friends and I went to Go Cong beach to watch the sea and eat. The sea breeze here is very cool, and there are also kites, so I really like it.”
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang, during the holidays from April 27 to 29, there were over 33,400 visitors to Tien Giang, an increase compared to normal days; of which, there were over 5,100 international visitors. Tourist attractions that attracted many visitors include: Thoi Son Islet, Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village, Tan Phong Islet, Dong Tam Snake Farm, Tan Thanh Beach, Truc Lam Chanh Giac Zen Monastery, and Lien Hoa Pagoda.
