This morning (January 6), Urban Railway Company No. 1 (HURC 1) said that after 2 weeks of operation, metro line No. 1 has run 3,029 trains, serving more than 1.7 million passengers, an increase of 300% compared to the plan.

Of which, on the peak day of New Year's Day, January 1, metro line 1 served 275,144 trips with 246 trains.

HURC 1 assessed that the operation of metro line 1 is basically stable, serving well the experience needs of people. However, besides the positive signals, the operating team discovered many passengers violating the culture and safety of metro operation.

Specifically, many passengers use unsafe devices and take photos, such as using tripods (a device to support cameras, camcorders or phones) in stations and on trains, causing obstruction.

Many passengers leaned out of the EWD door (door for emergency use only by station staff) to take photos, ignoring the staff's reminders and continuing to move to other locations to take photos. There were cases of taking off clothes, which was uncivilized when taking photos.

Many passengers make the mistake of blocking the platform and train doors while waiting for their loved ones to get on and off, causing danger. Although the train doors only open and close within 30 seconds, some passengers still try to rush out or get on the train while the doors are closing. Passengers also step over the safety warning line despite being reminded, forcing station staff to intervene repeatedly.

In addition, many passengers do not line up at the entrance, escalators and trains, causing disorder. There are cases of jostling and pushing to quickly get on/off the train, causing safety risks.

Many passengers do not cooperate in making boarding passes or scanning QR codes when entering/exiting the gate because they think it is a free experience and do not need to do so. Passengers still bring food and drinks into the station area; intentionally bring pets in backpacks but release them when getting on the platform, affecting the common space...
