Visitors to Nha Trang on the occasion of April 30 and May 1: Domestic tours 'explode'

On the morning of April 19, Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen - Vice President of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association - said that for the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the number of tourists coming to Nha Trang to book tours was almost full, mainly domestic tourists.

The number of visitors to Nha Trang has increased sharply due to many incentives.

According to Mr. Nguyen, this year's holiday has a long break, so the demand for travel is higher than last year. In particular, although airfare prices tend to increase this year, the number of tourists booking tickets is still very high.

"Tourists coming to Nha Trang during this year's holiday will enjoy some incentives when going on tours, and the prices for the tours are stable. Like previous years, this holiday will often welcome many domestic tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa," said Mr. Nguyen.

Mr. Nguyen said that the development of highways, convenient transportation, and prices in Nha Trang being quite reasonable compared to other tourist destinations will attract a lot of visitors.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Chi - Vice President of the Hotel Association (under the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association), the room occupancy rate of many accommodation establishments in the province is quite high, currently reaching an average of 75% or more, especially for resorts and hotels along the Nha Trang coast and Bai Dai area (Cam Ranh).

Ms. Chi said that during this year's holiday, many accommodation establishments will have booking incentives for tourists such as waiving additional fees, combo incentives such as airport pick-up or discounts on meals.

Representatives of some hotels in Nha Trang such as The Emperean, Novotel Nha Trang, Quinter Central Nha Trang said that the number of guests booking rooms from about April 30 to May 2 is over 90%.

According to a survey by Booking.com, Nha Trang is currently ranked 4th in the list of domestic tourist destinations most searched by tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - permanent vice president of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association - said that regarding the tourism trend during the holidays this year, besides sea tourism which is the strength of the locality, it is forecasted that the trend of green tourism and community tourism will explode.

According to Mr. Nhut, in recent years, tourists coming to Nha Trang during the summer tourist season often tend to go to green tourist areas, tourist areas in the outskirts of Nha Trang, especially attracting domestic tourists.

In fact, many tourist units and locations have begun to proactively exploit potentials to diversify products, focusing on developing green tourism programs, instead of just focusing on beach resort tourism products.

"We are also coordinating with many local tourism units and businesses to organize tours to the countryside, traditional cultural heritage areas, and experience green tourism and community tourism activities," Mr. Nhut informed.

According to Mr. Nhut, this year's holiday season will also see a large number of international visitors, as the number of tourists from countries such as South Korea, China, and Europe is also increasing, especially Russian visitors are returning strongly after direct flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa have reopened.

More than 100 flights per day will bring tourists to Nha Trang

According to the leader of Cam Ranh International Airport, during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays, Cam Ranh International Airport is expected to serve 885 takeoffs and landings, an average of more than 120 flights/day, an increase of 3% over the same period in 2024, including 526 international flights and 360 domestic flights.
