Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Phung Duc Chinh, Deputy General Director of Dong Do Group Joint Stock Company, said that after many days of monitoring the location of the underground water mark pushed up at Km 7+250 to Km 7+300, the unit has completed the repair.

According to Mr. Chinh, after many days of rain, an unusual colored streak was suddenly discovered near the center of the road, about 50 meters long and 200 square meters in area. "Experience shows that the asphalt road surface changes color because the material is soaked in water. After that, the unit used machinery to turn it over and discovered an underground water vein running dozens of meters long, pushed up by pressure."

"To prevent the water from spreading, the unit urgently dug up all the constructed layers with a length of about 50m and carried out a solution to dig a trench, drain the water out and create a permeable membrane to prevent this water from spreading.

After completing the waterproofing measures and monitoring to see that the water flow was stable, we resumed construction. Currently, the road surface has been resurfaced in all locations with underground water flows," said Mr. Chinh.

According to Mr. Chinh, the package has been completed and is waiting for acceptance to be put into use.

As reported by Giao Thong Newspaper, the XL02 package under the project to enhance traffic connectivity in the Central Highlands region (Upgrading National Highway 19) has a length of 13.7km, constructed by the Joint Venture of Dong Do Group Joint Stock Company and Thang Long Bridge 3 Joint Stock Company from December 2021, completed in March 2024, but has not been accepted and put into operation.

Recently, after prolonged heavy rains in Gia Lai, the above package experienced an unusual road surface phenomenon due to underground water seeping back into the asphalt concrete, affecting the infrastructure of about 200 square meters. The construction unit, through monitoring the project, discovered the problem and promptly took a solution.
