EURO 2024 qualifying results: Mbappe helps France beat Greece

Exactly 3 days after the victory over Gibraltar, France continued their journey in the EURO 2024 qualifiers by hosting Greece at home.

Against an opponent rated lower, Mbappe and his teammates quickly pressed the field from the first minutes of the match. However, the scientifically organized defense of the away team caused the 2018 World Cup champion many difficulties.

In the first half, France had 8 shots, but only 2 of them were on target and did not result in a goal. On the other hand, Greece's attacks were almost harmless and could not create any surprises. There were no goals scored after the first half.

After a deadlocked first half, France had a valuable opportunity to open the scoring early in the second half.
