The results of the first round of the Competency Assessment Exam are expected to be announced on April 16.

On March 31, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced that more than 126,000 candidates participated in the first round of the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University on March 30 in 25 provinces and cities with 55 exam clusters and 118 exam locations.

According to Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the results of this year's Competency Assessment Test are used by more than 100 universities and colleges for admission.

From April 17 to May 7, Ho Chi Minh City National University will open the registration portal for the second round of the Competency Assessment Exam.

The second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Test was held on Sunday morning, June 1 in 11 provinces and cities.

Specifically, it will be held in Hue city, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, An Giang.

This year, the structure of the competency assessment test has been adjusted to match the 2018 General Education Program.

The test consists of 120 multiple-choice objective questions with 150 minutes to complete and is done on paper.

In 2024, the Competency Assessment Exam helped Ho Chi Minh City National University recruit more than 9,200 students, accounting for about 38% of the total enrollment target.
