Connecting 60 countries' cultures in the 2024 International Food Festival

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Diplomatic Corps Services, in coordination with the Department of State Protocol and embassies in Vietnam, provide information about the 2024 International Food Festival.

According to Mr. Hoang Thai Ha, Department of Diplomatic Service, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, the International Food Festival is one of the annual events to promote cultural and culinary exchange.

This year, with the theme Gastronomy of Unity - Connecting Cuisine , the festival is not only an opportunity to introduce and promote the culinary culture of countries, but also an opportunity to promote and honor the cultural beauty of Vietnam, promote cultural diplomacy, enhance the national image and further expand and promote the spirit of international cooperation.

“Mutual understanding is the foundation of peace, cooperation is the premise for prosperity, and striving for perfection is the driving force for development. This is the motto of the International Food Festivals organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This year, the Festival with the theme "Connecting Cuisine" will not only honor the richness and diversity of global cuisine but also emphasize that cuisine will be a "common language" - where people from different cultures find harmony.

Through each dish, we will not only share the quintessence of culinary flavors but also spread stories about history and good traditional values of each nation," said Mr. Hoang Thai Ha.

The new point of the Festival is not only to simply introduce the special dishes of Vietnam but also to bring a unique culinary experience journey, with more than 70 booths from 60 countries and territories with elaborate food performances, exciting and vibrant activities of the Beer Festival, game activities and countless unique experiences such as: Culinary Passport, Cuisine on 1 plate, Five Continents Kitchen...

Attending the festival, culinary artist Le Thi Thiet emphasized that the event is not only a multi-cultural "party" but also tells attendees emotional stories through culinary dishes from many countries and regions.

“In particular, Vietnamese culinary culture will be a highlight, demonstrating the elevation of the rich flavors of dishes. Thereby, both preserving tradition and being creative to suit international friends.

Hopefully, each participant of the Festival will feel the blended flavors, creating connections between cultures through interesting stories about cuisine," shared artisan Le Thi Thiet.
