The forum "Connecting trade and tourism between Japan - Thailand - Vietnam" had the participation of nearly 100 business delegates from 3 countries.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, Ms. Vu Chi Mai, Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan, said that the forum is an opportunity for businesses to access the market, seek strategic partners and expand business activities in the region. At the same time, the event also contributes to enhancing the position and image of the Vietnamese community in the international arena. This is also a bridge to help the Vietnamese business community abroad connect with the homeland, preserving Vietnamese cultural identity.

Through the forum, there are many potential areas for Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese businesses, especially overseas Vietnamese businesses, to cooperate, such as: Tourism and travel services; agriculture and food processing. All three countries have strengths in high-quality agricultural products. Cooperation in production, processing and export will expand the market and increase added value; digital transformation and e-commerce.

Ms. Vu Chi Mai also said that Kyushu is a region that concentrates many industries such as petrochemicals, automobile manufacturing, semiconductors and metals. Kyushu is an important gateway for Japan in tourism and international trade. The area, population and GDP account for about 10% of Japan, so the economic scale of Kyushu is called "10% Economy". Kyushu is the leading automobile manufacturing place in Japan. In Kyushu, there are Toyota Motor Kyushu Inc., Nissan Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd., Nissan Shatai Kyushu Co., Ltd., Daihatsu Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd., operating with a production capacity of more than 1.5 million units, accounting for about 15% of Japan's market share in terms of the number of vehicles produced.
