With the desire to preserve and revive memories of a time, to further appreciate existing values, the Youth Theater performs a musical show called Street Stories of the Subsidy Period , recreating Hanoi in the 1980s through music.
The script "Chuyen pho thoi bien" by musician Tran Le Chien (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Music Magazine), directed by Meritorious Artist Le Anh Tuyet and the creative team of artists from Tuoi Tre Theater will tell the audience a story about the subsidy period through music, with the desire to preserve and revive the memories of a time, to love and cherish the existing contemporary values.
The musical show Street Stories in the Subsidy Period tells the story of a four-generation family living in Hanoi's Old Quarter. The joys and sorrows, conflicts and even private happiness reflect a part of the lives of Hanoians in the 1980s.
Each person has a different personality, job and interests. Four generations like different music genres, different songs…; then conflicts arise in humorous, happy situations…
In the end, those small conflicts in life were healed by music, by everyone in the family, in that small alley, sharing the same love for music, and it was music that erased all the conflicting boundaries in society.
After all, a wedding with fresh flowers, warm smiles in the jubilant atmosphere of music and passionate dances of young people shows that life is beautiful...
