Kaspersky presents ethical principles for applying artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) in the development and use of corporate systems to reinforce its commitment to developing technology responsibly and transparently.

As the role of AI algorithms becomes increasingly prominent in cybersecurity, the principles in Kaspersky’s White Paper explain how businesses can ensure the trustworthiness of AI technology and guide companies in the industry to mitigate risks associated with the use of AI/ML algorithms.

Combining artificial intelligence and human expertise has helped Kaspersky solutions detect and combat a wide range of cybersecurity threats effectively. ML plays an important role in automating threat detection and anomaly identification, while improving the accuracy of malware detection.

To foster innovation, Kaspersky has developed ethical principles for the development and use of AI/ML. These principles are also shared publicly with the industry for the purpose of multilateral diplomacy to ensure that AI is used wisely to create a better world.

The transparency principle reflects Kaspersky’s firm belief that companies should inform their customers about the AI/ML technologies used in their products and services. Kaspersky adheres to this principle by developing AI/ML systems that are as easy to use as possible, sharing information with stakeholders about how the solutions work, and how Kaspersky leverages AI/MI technologies.
