"Joker: Folie à Deux" - starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga - received a nomination for Worst Picture, leading the 2025 Golden Raspberry categories.

In the list of published works and individuals that were underrated this year, Joker: Folie à Deux is one of five projects that were classified as Worst Picture, along with Borderlands , Madame Web , Megalopolis and Reagan .

Part two is set when Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) is imprisoned in Arkham Asylum after killing five people. During a music therapy session, he falls in love with patient Lee Quinzel/Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga). From here, the main character finds love, while struggling with two personalities inside.

Movie Name - Folie à Deux - is the name of a mental syndrome, when two individuals develop a mental illness after living close to each other for a period of time, may be socially or physically isolated and have little interaction with others.

The work is considered the biggest failure of the year because of its disjointed plot, poor acting, and failure to meet audience expectations. The project received a "rotten" tomato score of 33% on Rotten Tomatoes and D (bad) CinemaScore .

Joker 2 cost $190 million to produce but mostly retold the events of the first part. Instead of expanding the plot to deepen the main character, the filmmakers made him a weakling, denying his ego. The overuse of music also made the script difficult to follow. In addition to Worst Picture, the project was nominated for Worst Screenplay, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.

The Golden Raspberry Awards were established in 1981 to celebrate the year's disappointing films and actors. Members pay a fee to vote. However, the organizers do not require them to watch the entire nominated film. In history, stars including Bill Cosby, Sandra Bullock, and Halle Berry have come to accept the award in person.

According to Hollywood Reporter , more than 1,200 viewers - movie lovers, film critics and journalists from 49 US states and 20 countries - voted on this year's nominations. The event will take place on March 1, one day before the Oscars.

Last year, Winnie the Pooh - a horror film directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield adapted from the famous animated work of the same name - "won big" when it was awarded five categories, including: Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Director, Worst Screen Duo and Worst Remake or Sequel.
