Stage 19 of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup - Ton Dong A 2025 with a route of 176.5km from Phan Thiet City to Vung Tau City took place unexpectedly in the harsh coastal sun and wind.

Immediately after the start, attacks broke out continuously. In order to protect the yellow jersey of Mikhail Fokin (Loc Troi An Giang Group), the An Giang team did not react when a group of more than 10 riders escaped because they were all athletes who did not have high rankings on the individual rankings.

So the first group was released very far away, sometimes more than 10 minutes away. This group, led by Ivan Blokhin (Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang), Nguyen Pham Quoc Khang (Pelio Kenda Dong Nai ), Nguyen Nhut Phat (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long), Ta Tuan Vu (Military Zone 7)... maintained a pretty good speed.

While many fans believe that the Vinh Long team will "reassemble the engine" to pull the second group to catch the riders who escaped in the final stage. This is to create conditions for Nicholas Kergozou (620 Vinh Long Agriculture ) to sprint at the finish line.

But this did not happen. The gap between the two groups remained as the large group behind "stayed still". Therefore, the leading riders successfully escaped to the finish line. However, this group gradually fell apart on the race track and only 6 leading riders reached the coastal city of Vung Tau.

At the finish line, Ivan Blokhin showed great physical endurance when he sprinted past his opponents to reach the first level, winning the stage and the prize of 20 million VND.

Russian racer Ivan Blokhin shared: "Today I raced well despite the heat. I faced a lot of competition from Vietnamese racers, especially at the sprint points. However, I tried to overcome and won the stage.

This is my first time competing in Vietnam. I am very impressed by the beautiful scenery in this country and the fans' love for sports is amazing."

Thanks to keeping a close watch on his direct competitors, Mikhail Fokin successfully defended the yellow jersey overall. Meanwhile, the green jersey overall still belongs to Nicholas Kergozou.

On April 25, the racers will compete in stage 20 from Vung Tau City to Bien Hoa City with a route of 129.5km.
