The basis for this rumor comes from previous reports, claiming that all three rear cameras on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be upgraded to 48 MP sensors.

With the requirement of at least 33 MP image sensors to produce 8K images, equipping all three cameras with 48 MP sensors will fully meet this requirement.
