On the night of December 4, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that all 20,000 tickets for the match between Vietnam and Indonesia at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho on December 15 had been sold out. Contrary to many people's predictions, fans are still looking forward to the most intense match in Southeast Asia.
Before the tournament started, the Vietnamese team did not play very well. Meanwhile, the Indonesian team confirmed that they could only bring 3 naturalized players, 3 local players playing abroad and 20 others under the age of 22. Many naturalized stars such as Thom Haye, Nathan Tjoe A-on, Maarten Paes were absent for various reasons.

As tickets for the Vietnam-Indonesia match are sold out, fans can only buy tickets for the Vietnam-Myanmar match on the last day of the first online sale. The second sale starts from 00:00 on December 6 to 23:59 on December 10 (customers buy tickets to watch the match between Vietnam and Myanmar taking place at 20:00 on December 21, 2024) or until tickets are sold out, whichever comes first.
Tickets for the matches come in three denominations: 100,000 VND, 200,000 VND and 300,000 VND. Tickets are distributed exclusively on the VinID app (now renamed the OneU app and only available online).
The ticket seller will deliver the tickets directly via Vietnam Post's express delivery service to customers with registered addresses. To receive tickets, fans need to have the original Citizen Identification Card/Passport for verification.
Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team are in Group B, with two away matches against the Philippines and Laos, and two home matches against Indonesia and Myanmar. The Vietnamese team aims to top the group and advance to the semi-finals, then the final, aiming for the championship.
After returning from Korea, the Vietnamese team trained in Phu Tho. On December 6, the Vietnamese team finalized the list of 26 players for the AFF Cup 2024 and left for Laos to prepare for the opening match.
