Speaking at the Saudi Arabia-Indonesia roundtable in Riyadh on October 19, Mr. Hasan emphasized that Saudi Arabia has always been an important trade partner for Indonesia. The two sides cooperate in many areas of mutual benefit, especially infrastructure, energy, religion, banking, health as well as the agricultural and oil and gas sectors.
At the meeting, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce (FSC) and ACWA Power-PT Pertamina International EP signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of infrastructure and energy.
Trade turnover between Jakarta and Riyadh in the first 8 months of 2023 was recorded at 3.80 billion USD. Of which, Indonesia's exports to Saudi Arabia reached 1.39 billion USD, in the opposite direction was 2.41 billion USD.
Indonesia is currently aiming to achieve its Golden Indonesia Vision 2045, focusing on infrastructure development across the country. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is aiming to achieve its Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, which aims to build a dynamic, diversified economy.
Riyadh also pledged to cooperate with Indonesian businessmen in establishing new joint ventures.
