Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam is the main partner of VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2024 – Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup. This is the 4th tournament of VnExpress Marathon in the thousand-year-old capital, runners will enjoy the cool feeling and see a different Hanoi at night from 00:05 on November 24. First held in June 2019, after 5 years, VnExpress Marathon has become the largest sports tournament system in Vietnam, operated and owned by VnExpress Newspaper, FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company (FPT Online). The series of events is held from North to South, in attractive tourist cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hue, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon... and the Aquaman Vietnam biathlon is held every fall. In this return, VnExpress Marathon attracted 10,000 registered athletes, including professional and semi-professional athletes from the country and internationally. Of which, 7,000 athletes came from provinces and cities, 300 foreign athletes from leading marathon countries such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Japan, etc. In addition, on the morning of Saturday, November 23, 2,000 children aged 6-10 will participate in a 700m run around Tran Nhan Tong walking street. November 24 is the official race day with the starting time of the distances from 00:05 for 10km athletes, 00:30 for 5km distance, 42km distance will start at 1:00, and for athletes conquering the 21km distance will start at 2:30. This year's starting time is optimized by the Organizing Committee to limit traffic conflicts and ensure the athletes' achievements. This year's race has changed the starting and finishing points to Tran Nhan Tong walking street. Accordingly, all athletes will start and go through Quang Trung street, going towards Nha Chung, Nha Tho, Hang Trong, Bao Khanh, the roads along West Lake, Hoan Kiem Lake... With the 42km and 21km routes, athletes will cross Vinh Tuy Bridge and Long Bien Bridge respectively. From km 6 to km 10, athletes will conquer Vinh Tuy Bridge, then from km 16 to km 18, there will be a challenge at Long Bien Bridge (both 21 and 42km). With the 5km and 10km distances, athletes will mainly run through central streets such as Quang Trung, Trang Thi, Tho Nhuom, Hang Bong, Dinh Tien Hoang, Quan Su... All running routes of VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2024 - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup are measured and certified to meet standards by the Vietnam Athletics Federation. 10,000 athletes of VnExpress Marathon Midnight 2024 - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup have the opportunity to conquer prizes, according to distance and age group with a total value of nearly 1 billion VND. One of the attractive categories of the tournament is the Team competition category - this is considered an indispensable "specialty" every "ripe jackfruit" season, a place for running clubs/groups to show their solidarity and make every effort for the flag and colors. VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2024 - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup is not only a race, but also a unique opportunity to explore a sparkling, magical capital at night in the early winter cold. The organizers hope that through the race, they can contribute to promoting the sports movement in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. It is expected that during the 3-day tournament, from November 22 to 24, the tournament will contribute to attracting more than 50,000 visitors, including athletes and their relatives, to Hanoi, thereby promoting the image of the people and the country, promoting tourism and economic development in the locality, especially the night-time economy in the capital. With the mission of serving the community, VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2024 - Hyundai Thanh Cong cup maintains the goal of ensuring absolute safety on the running route, bringing the best experiences to participants. Along the route, the Organizing Committee has arranged 20 water stations, including one-way and two-way stations, with full filtered water and electrolyte water. In addition to the super long water stations, the Organizing Committee also arranges separate water tables for the elite runner group (seeds). This helps high-performance athletes confidently conquer their goals with the best physical condition and support. Medical stations, mobile medical vehicles, and ambulances are arranged along the race track, ready to support athletes when needed. To operate the stages, the Organizing Committee has arranged more than 200 crew members and more than 1,000 volunteers. The number of medical staff and police officers of the city supporting the tournament is up to more than 500 people, ensuring maximum professionalism and safety for the tournament. The race kit for athletes participating in the tournament, in addition to shirts, bibs, hats, and bags, will have many other attractive items from sponsors. In particular, the racing shirt is inspired by the unique graffiti art, each line and pattern on the shirt recreates the boldness and freedom of street artists. For the 42km distance in particular, the Organizing Committee chose a finisher windbreaker that combines two powerful tones of neon green and dark purple, symbolizing personal victory and the spirit of constantly moving forward. Athletes of the 21km and 42km distances will receive the Finisher shirt after completing the race according to regulations.
