Although it has been discontinued in Vietnam, Hyundai Kona continues to develop a new generation, including an all-electric version, in the same segment as VinFast VF6.
Entering the new generation, the Korean car company Hyundai Kona 2024 has added an electric engine version, in line with the new trend. If brought back to the Vietnamese market, the electric Kona will be a breath of fresh air in the segment.

This means that the new generation of this model is now 150 mm longer, 25 mm wider, and has a 60 mm longer wheelbase. The electric version is distinguished by a closed grille, with a charging port located at the front of the car.
The electric Hyundai Kona Electric variant will come in two versions. The remaining version is equipped with a larger 64.8 kWh battery pack and 2 electric motors (AWD) with 201 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, with a range of 416 km.
The high-end Hyundai Kona Electric uses a 64.8 kWh battery with fast charging technology that can charge from 10-80% in just 43 minutes. The car can also provide up to 1.7 kW of power to external electrical devices.
In addition, Hyundai Kona Electric is also equipped with smart technologies such as active radiator grille, i-Pedal one-pedal operation mode and smart energy regeneration system according to real-time traffic conditions.

The car can be started without a key thanks to the Digital Key 2 Touch system, which uses near-field communication (NFC) technology on smartphones and smartwatches to allow the driver to unlock and start the car. Digital Key 2 Touch can be shared with up to three people and the vehicle owner can revoke access at any time.
Inside the car, there are two 12.3-inch wide screens to display parameters as well as control the entertainment system, integrated AVN. In addition, the car is also equipped with an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 12-volt power outlet and two USB-C chargers, wireless device charging and two USB-C sockets in the rear passenger compartment.
The electric version of Hyundai Kona 2024 will compete with VinFast VF e34 or VinFast VF6 if it returns to the Vietnamese market.
