The all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 model has officially opened for sale to Vietnamese customers with prices starting at 1.3 billion VND, and can travel up to 451km on a single charge.
More than a year after being introduced in Vietnam for market research purposes, Hyundai's Ioniq 5 electric car has just been officially put on sale.
Previously, in 2022, in response to the Government's orientations to focus on developing environmentally friendly vehicles, Hyundai Thanh Cong introduced the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle, a high-end electric vehicle model of Hyundai Motor, and received many positive responses from the market.
Ioniq 5 is manufactured at Hyundai Thanh Cong Factory No. 2 (HTMV2) and is Hyundai Motor's first high-tech electric vehicle produced in Vietnam.
Ioniq 5 is built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) platform used for Hyundai's most advanced electric vehicles. This detail appears on most of the car's lighting areas such as headlights, taillights, energy level indicator lights when charging...
The electric car has the overall dimensions of a D-size SUV with length, width, and height of 4,635 x 1,890 x 1,650mm, and ground clearance of 160mm. The wheelbase is 3,000mm, equivalent to large SUV models.
The interior of the car has a flat design with seats that give the cabin an open, airy feel. The driver's seat comes with a footrest placed underneath and the front seats can be moved to recline comfortably like the rear compartment of a large luxury car. The rear seats can also be pulled forward/backward to optimize space.
Some notable amenities include a pair of 12.3-inch screens supporting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bose sound system, automatic air conditioning, automatic lights, smart key start, panoramic sunroof, three driving modes, Hyundai SmartSense advanced driving assistance package...

With a 50kW charging station, charging time from 20-80% takes 56 minutes, while an AC charger with a capacity of 7.7-10.9 kW takes about 6-9 hours to fully charge 100%.
In addition, customers will receive a premium home charging solution package. Hyundai Thanh Cong said it is working with partners to develop a nationwide network of charging stations, aiming to cover 80% of provinces and cities by 2024.
The selling prices of the two Ioniq 5 Exclusive and Prestige versions are 1.3 and 1.45 billion VND respectively, with a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty. The battery is warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km. The car competes in the same segment as the VinFast VF8 (1.459-1.639 billion VND including battery)./.
