Doan Thien An was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 thanks to her presentation skills and intelligent, convincing responses. Immediately after being crowned, Doan Thien An had less than 3 days to prepare and leave for the Miss Grand International 2022 contest in Indonesia. As a result, she finished in the Top 20 and won the award for Best National Costume.

Talking to Dan Viet reporter before the final round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 (Miss Grand Vietnam) which will take place from 6 pm tonight (August 27) at Phu Tho Stadium (HCMC), Miss Doan Thien An had the opportunity to open up about her life after being crowned and her expectations for her successor.

Miss Doan Thien An: "I am not pressured or jealous of Miss Thuy Tien's success"

In less than a day, Miss Doan Thien An will end her term at Miss Grand Vietnam. Looking back at her coronation and tenure, how much do you think Doan Thien An has achieved in what she wanted?

- In my personal opinion, success in my current career is not measured by % or specific numbers, but it is a mission that follows me throughout my life. Therefore, I feel that I always have to try harder, try every day for the things I aim for to bring positive values. I think that is important no matter who I am.

As the first Miss Grand Vietnam when this contest was held and with the success of Miss Grand International 2021 (Miss Grand International) Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien , does Doan Thien An feel pressured, "jealous" or want to "overcome" the shadow of her senior?

- In my eyes, Thuy Tien is always the role model that I always want to follow. Therefore, I do not feel any pressure or jealousy, on the contrary, I feel more proud of what Thuy Tien has done, with the efforts she has made. It is the successes of my seniors that have helped me to be better every day and have the motivation to improve myself, to work towards doing useful things for the community and society like that.

Remember "Miss Boss" Pham Kim Dung once said that Doan Thien An was "the poorest Miss" at the time of her coronation. Currently, there are rumors that Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 has completely "escaped poverty" and is also a "secret tycoon", buying a new house, luxury cars, and earning hundreds of millions per show... is that true?

-I think that what comes from rumors certainly does not come from me. It is true that when my term ends, my current life will probably be "better" than before I was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022. However, to say that I am a "secret tycoon", buying a new house, luxury car, high salary... I think I have not achieved those things. Who knows, maybe in the future I will try to achieve things "like the rumors".

Is the saying: "Changing life", "transforming" overnight after becoming a beauty queen true for Thien An?

- If I had to answer briefly, it would be correct for me.

How has the life of Miss Doan Thien An's father changed, how has he benefited from his daughter's status as a Miss and a title in the entertainment industry? What words or advice from his father will Doan Thien An remember forever after receiving the title?

- As I shared from the first days of being crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, my happiness is seeing my father happy. For me, I hope to do everything so that my father can have a good life. Since being crowned, although I am busy with work, I still try to be by my father's side and take care of him more.

My father often told me: "I will always respect and support what you do. You can be successful or not, but you must be a good person." I think that is also the good goal that my father wants me to aim for. I think all parents want to guide their children to positive and good values.

Miss Doan Thien An: "The girl who won the final round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 must be very brave"

After her term ends, Miss Doan Thien An must have had goals and plans to "let loose", including her own love life. Has Miss Doan Thien An's current boyfriend standards changed compared to the time before she was crowned?

- I think I would like to keep my love life and family to myself. I just hope that people will see my efforts and what I want to do now and in the future, not my personal matters. Therefore, I would like to keep the privacy and comfort of those I love.

As someone who has experienced the journey at Miss Grand Vietnam, what advice does Miss Thien An have for the new Miss Grand Vietnam 2023? What kind of person do you expect your successor to be?

- Up to now, the contestants of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 are at the final stage of their journey. I hope you will always keep your spirit good and strong to complete the final night of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023. Be yourself! Winning a competition is also very important, but I think winning over yourself is the most important thing. That is also the biggest destination that any girl must conquer.

I also do not expect what kind of girl my successor will be. Because the girl who wins the final night of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 must be a very brave girl. That girl has overcome many challenges to be able to have that position. I hope the new Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 has enough strength and can bear the weight of the crown.
