On the morning of December 29, Yen Mo District Party Committee held a conference to review Party building work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
In 2023, closely following the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee; the Party Committee, government, army and people of Yen Mo district united, strived, overcame difficulties, comprehensively implemented political tasks and achieved important results, completing and exceeding 11/12 main targets for 2023.
Notably: The work of Party building and political system building has been directed and implemented comprehensively and achieved high results: The mid-term review conference on the implementation of the Resolution of the 18th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, was successfully organized, focusing on comprehensively and substantially assessing the achieved results; shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and obstacles; adjusting and supplementing goals and targets; and at the same time, reaching high consensus on policies, tasks, and solutions that need to be focused on leading and directing in the second half of the term.
Focus on implementing the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units in the district, period 2023-2025. Complete the preliminary review of the pilot implementation of the Electronic Party Member Handbook at the District Party Committee. The work of developing party members and establishing party organizations in non-state enterprises continues to achieve high results. The District Party Committee has admitted 260 new party members, exceeding the target assigned by the province. Inspection, supervision, mass mobilization and propaganda work has been effectively implemented. The quality of activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations continues to be improved.
Along with that, focus on leading, directing the implementation and completion of 10/11 main targets on socio-economic development in 2023, of which 7 targets exceeded the set plan. The work of building new rural areas achieved positive results, the district had 20 more villages and hamlets meeting the standards of model new rural residential areas (exceeding the plan of 6 villages and hamlets); Yen Lam, Yen Nhan and Yen Thai communes have completed 19/19 criteria and completed the dossier to request the Provincial People's Committee to appraise and consider recognition.
Administrative reform and digital transformation have had positive changes (the district's administrative reform index in 2022 ranked first among 8 districts and cities in the province). Culture and society have made many advances, social security is guaranteed, people's lives are stable, the poverty rate has decreased to 2% (exceeding the set plan).
In 2024, Yen Mo will continue to innovate its leadership, direction and management methods in a proactive, drastic and effective manner; strive to achieve the standards of an advanced new rural district and promote activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the district's re-establishment; prepare well for the conditions to serve the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030. Focus on leading and directing the completion and over-fulfillment of 12/12 socio-economic development targets.
On this occasion, many grassroots party organizations that have excellently completed their tasks in 2023 and party members who have excellently completed their tasks for 5 consecutive years were commended and rewarded by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee.
