The People's Procuracy of Trieu Son district has just coordinated with the People's Court of the district to organize online trials of 5 criminal cases including: the case of Nguyen Van Dat and his accomplices for the crime of illegally buying, selling and storing narcotics; the case of Nguyen Quoc Truong for the crime of violating regulations on road traffic participation; the case of Le Tu Quy, the case of Ha Van Luong and the case of Le Tu Duc for the crime of property theft.
These are the first online trials in Trieu Son district. The central bridge is located at the trial hall of Trieu Son District People's Court with the participation of litigants and some participants in the proceedings according to the provisions of law. The component bridge is located at the Trieu Son District Police Detention Center with the participants in the proceedings being the defendant and the judicial support police. The trial meets the requirements for organizing online trials, complying with general regulations on information security and data management.
At the trial, the prosecutors performed well in exercising the right to prosecute, supervising compliance with the law, actively questioning to clarify the details of the case, debating and responding to all the arguments presented by the defense attorney, and successfully defending the prosecution's viewpoint at the trial.
At the end of the trial, the leaders of Trieu Son District People's Procuracy and the District People's Court coordinated to organize a meeting to review experiences and evaluate advantages and disadvantages to further improve the quality of trials in general and online trials in particular.
It is known that online trials will support in-person trials, helping the Court improve the quality of trials and promote digital transformation in trial activities of People's Courts at all levels. Online trials also help propaganda and dissemination of law achieve better results.
