Liz Mitchell shared: “Every time I come to Vietnam, it is a different feeling, but what we feel most clearly is the love from music fans.”

Liz Mitchell, Joy, Samantha Fox are world music legends of the 1970s and 1980s. Except for Samantha Fox, all of them have performed in Vietnam. However, this is the first time the artists have come to Dalat to participate in Dalat Spring Concert - a music event organized for the first time with the criteria of aiming at international standards and held annually. If in previous shows in Vietnam, the artists performed on indoor stages, this time, the stage space opens outdoors amidst the vast nature of Dalat at Lam Vien Square.

Boney M and Liz Mitchell have performed in Vietnam twice, this time was different as the legendary singer sang classic Christmas songs in the poetic space of Da Lat. At the media launch, she said: “Coming to Vietnam is a miracle, everything happened quite briefly. I have toured in Canada for 8 consecutive years and I wanted to rest this year. But my husband received a phone call and said: “We need to come to Vietnam to perform”. And now we are here today”.

The singer, born in 1952, shared that a member of the Boney M band almost couldn't come to Vietnam because of some visa-related issues. "But by a miracle and a prayer to God, everything was resolved and we were all present in Vietnam. That member even arrived in Vietnam before Liz Mitchell's husband," the singer said.

The band from Austria - Joy band is famous worldwide with songs that music lovers always remember such as Touch by touch, Hey Hello, Valerie, I'm in love... The band representative said: "We are not familiar with the traffic in Vietnam but we still love the cuisine, culture, and people of Vietnam. Vietnamese people are always friendly and love us". When asked about the songs they will perform, Joy replied: "Of course there will be all our hits, especially we have a new song dedicated to the Vietnamese audience called Vietnamese Girl ".

During the press conference, Samantha Fox spontaneously covered Boney M’s Rivers of Babylon and revealed that she has been an idol of Boney M since she was 12 years old. The former “sex symbol” shared: “I have performed in Asia many times but this is the first time I have come to Vietnam. And right after receiving the invitation, I had to exclaim: “That is what I have always been looking forward to. I said “yes” immediately”.

The Touch Me (I Want Your Body) singer added that this time she came to Vietnam just to perform, so she is planning to return for longer vacations, hopefully next year. "I promise to bring you a great show with songs you know from the 1980s to the present," Samantha Fox expressed.

The Dalat Spring Concert taking place in Dalat on the evening of December 21st will feature world music legends: Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy and Samantha Fox and is completely free. It is expected that 15,000 spectators will be able to join in the most famous disco songs by artists that have been known by heart by many generations of audiences.
