Phu Giao District: Deploying a scientific project to develop a digital agricultural model associated with ecotourism

(BDO) On the morning of April 18, the People's Committee of Phu Giao district held a conference to deploy the results of the provincial science and technology project and introduce digital transformation solutions in agriculture. Attending the conference were leaders of provincial departments, scientists, technology enterprises, cooperatives and farmers in the area.

The scientific topic “Developing a high-tech agricultural tourism model associated with building advanced new rural areas in the direction of smart villages”, implemented by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a topic of practical significance, opening up a sustainable development direction for Phu Giao district based on its strengths in ecology, agricultural production and indigenous culture.

The project proposes a circular ecological production model, in which the entire production, processing and consumption process uses organic materials, without preservatives. At the same time, it combines the development of experiential tourism and the application of the digital platform "Phu Giao Xanh" to connect high-tech agricultural products with ecological tourism services in the direction of a circular economy .

At the conference, digital transformation solutions in agriculture were also introduced such as mobiAgri - a solution to support smart production, and mTrace - a traceability system, to make the production chain transparent, enhance the brand value of agricultural products and create trust for consumers.

Dr. Pham Thanh Duy, Deputy Director of the Center for Rural Development - Saemaul Undong, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, shared at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Tran Hong Dung, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee affirmed: "Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, with people and businesses at the center, scientists as the key factor and the State playing a leading role". The conference is an important first step to help Phu Giao promote the application of technology, develop smart, modern, sustainable and more effective agriculture in the coming time.
