Today, I am very happy and proud to wear the traditional costume of my ethnic group to introduce to students as well as tourists”.

Hoang Thi Luyen, class 8C, Giang Chu Phin Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Meo Vac, Ha Giang ) participated in the Xuong ethnic traditional costume contest.

As a Xuong ethnic person participating in the ethnic costume performance contest, Hoang Thi Luyen expressed: “Participating in the contest, I myself met and exchanged with other ethnic groups; this is also an opportunity to help us better understand our ethnic traditional costumes as well as contribute to the work of preserving and promoting the value of the traditional costumes. traditional culture of ethnic groups".

The contest contributes to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups.

The teams will compete in 2 categories: National costume performance on music; presentation and introduction of the performance costume. Talent competition, each group will perform a self-selected act (singing, dancing, playing the flute, playing the trumpet...) with the local ethnic identity.

The contest is an activity to concretize the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the work of preserving, promoting and honoring the cultural identity of ethnic groups; arouse national pride, awareness of heritage preservation, promote the positivity, self-reliance and self-reliance of ethnic people; create conditions for ethnic people to exchange, learn and share experiences in the work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; strengthen solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups, build and develop a healthy and progressive grassroots cultural life. At the same time, the contest is also an important basis for promoting the diverse cultures of ethnic groups in Meo Vac district to tourists; raise awareness among students about the value, role and importance of traditional culture...

The teams participated in two categories: national costume performance and talent competition.

The awards include: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 6 Consolation Prizes; in addition, additional awards for the contestants with the best performance, best presentation and best talent will also be presented to the contestants in the final night taking place on the evening of April 23.
