On December 28, the People's Council of Lak district, term XII, 2021 - 2026, held the seventh thematic session.
In 2023, Lak district has made efforts to achieve and exceed the plan (KH) of 17/19 targets. Specifically, the total production value (at 2010 comparative prices) is estimated at 2,929 billion VND (equal to 101% of the plan), economic growth reached 8.1% (Plan 7.5%). Compared to 2022, the value of agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 3.8%; the value of industry and construction increased by 11.2%; the value of service increased by 19%.
State budget revenue is estimated at over 43.4 billion VND (reaching more than 134% of the province's assigned plan); revenue from trade - services - tourism is estimated at 1,493 billion VND; the poverty rate is estimated to decrease by 4.29%; the whole district achieves 138/190 new rural criteria (an increase of 4 criteria compared to 2022)...

At this session, delegates reviewed and approved reports from the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Committees of the District People's Council, the District People's Court, the District People's Procuracy, the District Civil Judgment Enforcement Department, etc.
In addition, a number of resolutions were passed on: resolving issues arising between the sixth and seventh sessions of the District People's Council; adjusting the public investment plan from local budget sources in 2023; adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; on implementing socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in 2023; estimating and allocating state budget revenue and expenditure estimates in 2024; public investment plan from local budget sources in 2024 and organizing meetings of the 12th Lak District People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 in 2024.

The District People's Council discussed, questioned and answered questions, and clarified a number of issues that voters and people were interested in, such as: solutions to effectively implement the targets of new rural construction in 2024; sustainable poverty reduction program; national target program for economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; environmental pollution in Bong Krang commune; planning of garbage collection area in Yang Tao commune, etc.

The meeting also voted to pass the Resolution to dismiss the position of Chairman of the District People's Council and to remove from the duties of delegate of the 12th Lak District People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 for delegate Vo Ngoc Tuyen - Provincial Party Committee member, former Secretary of the District Party Committee for the reason of transferring to another job.
