The family of Ms. Pham Thi Lien, Dan Thuan village, Ham Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam district) is a poor household in the commune, the family's income depends on working for hire. The old house was built a long time ago and is badly damaged, but Ms. Lien never thought she would have the conditions to repair it or build a new house. In early 2025, her family received 50 million VND from the local government's "Fund for the Poor" of the district, along with the help of labor days from relatives and neighbors, her family was able to repair the house. Having a solid place to live is the motivation for her family to continue working hard in production, striving to escape poverty sustainably.

“The first days I moved into my new house, I was so happy I couldn’t sleep. I can’t express how happy I am. I would like to thank the Party, the State, and the local government for their care, support, and help in helping my family have such a solid house,” said Ms. Lien.
These days, the atmosphere of Mr. Huynh Anh Lang's family (Dan Cuong village, Ham Thanh commune, Ham Thuan Nam district) is somewhat more bustling. Because after many years of waiting, his family has now renovated a spacious and airy house to live in. Thanks to the support of the State and local authorities, he has a new solid house, this is a great motivation for his family to strive to improve their lives. All the neighbors are happy with him.

According to Mr. Lang, during the process of building the house, he really appreciated the kindness and affection of the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front of the commune and the local people. Everyone often visited and contributed to the early completion of the house. Having a solid house, all the worries about the family's accommodation were put aside, replaced by the determination to work and produce to improve life.
Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairman of Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee said: The District Steering Committee determined that the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task.
