Go Cong Tay District: Focus on taking care of workers' lives

The report at the conference showed that in the first quarter, the ideological situation and mood of workers, civil servants and laborers in Go Cong Tay district were stable due to the attention and care of the Party and State on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. 100% of the Trade Unions from the district to the grassroots level have coordinated with the government, leaders of agencies, units and enterprises to organize many practical activities to take care of the material and spiritual life of workers, especially workers with difficult family circumstances to celebrate the spring and Tet.

Unions at all levels in the district have organized the implementation of the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party" in 2025, with cultural and artistic activities, meetings "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating Spring"... suitable to the actual situation at agencies, units, enterprises...

The Go Cong Tay District Labor Federation continues to monitor and participate with other sectors in inspecting, examining, and supervising the implementation of labor laws, policies, and regimes related to employees. At the same time, it constantly innovates the content, methods, and improves the quality of activities of the Trade Union organization and its staff.

Currently, the district has 89 grassroots trade unions (UCs), with 3,284 union members (UCs), employees. In the first 3 months of 2025, the district's trade unions at all levels have developed 14 new unions; consolidated, established, dissolved, and merged a number of affiliated grassroots trade unions according to the decision to reorganize and implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW. The district's Labor Federation also pays attention to Party development work, accordingly, the grassroots trade unions participated in training and introducing 23 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit, and 15 comrades were admitted to the Party...

In addition, the district trade union levels coordinated with the authorities at the same level and employers to organize subsidies, visits and gifts for 278 union members and workers with the amount of 83 million VND; support for 33 cases with the amount of more than 49 million VND; support unsecured loans for 31 employees with the amount of 930 million VND. Mobilize employees to contribute to social funds such as: Fund for the Poor, Fund for Child Protection, Fund for Gratitude... with the amount of more than 974 million VND.

At the same time, continue to effectively implement the "Welfare for Union Members" Program. In the first quarter of 2025, 99 Union members and Union branches used more than 124 products, saving nearly 12 million VND. Implement the "Union Shelter" Housing Program, survey and are preparing a proposal to the Fund Management Board to consider funding to build a house for Union members facing housing difficulties...

In general, in the first quarter, the Go Cong Tay District Trade Union at all levels has well implemented the policies of the Tien Giang Provincial Labor Federation, the District Party Committee, and the District People's Committee in taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members, employees, etc.

At the conference, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 individuals who excellently completed their tasks in 2024; Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the cultural and sports movement in 2024. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 Decisions to receive 2 grassroots trade unions including the District Medical Center and the District Agricultural Service Center under the management of the District Federation of Labor.
