Chuong My district has Dong Ke village (Tran Phu commune) in the ethnic minority and mountainous area. The village has 159 households with over 664 people, including 113 ethnic minority households with 494 people (mainly Muong ethnic people). By the end of 2024, the entire Tran Phu commune will have no more poor households; the average income per capita will reach 78.34 million VND/person/year and is expected to reach 81 million VND/person/year by the end of 2025.
Because the district has only 1 commune in the mountainous ethnic minority area, the commune has only 1 ethnic minority village, the leadership and direction of the implementation of Plan No. 253/KH-UBND dated November 11, 2021 of the Hanoi People's Committee is integrated into the direction of building and implementing the socio-economic development plan and public investment plan of the commune. The whole commune has 12/12 villages achieving the title of cultural village. The political security situation, social order and safety in Tran Phu commune in general and Dong Ke village in particular in recent years have been basically stable, with no complicated or outstanding problems occurring.
In the period of 2021-2025, in Chuong My district, 13 basic construction investment projects were approved to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. The implementation of investment projects in Tran Phu commune from various capital sources has contributed to promoting socio-economic development in the area, completing and enhancing the capacity of the infrastructure system.
Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My District Nguyen Anh Duc said that the completion and handover of investment projects and works have had a positive impact on people's lives, and the face of the countryside has improved...
At the conference, the leaders of Chuong My district proposed that the city add 2 cultural projects. Specifically, the Hung Thinh cultural house project and the project to renovate, upgrade and build new communal stilt houses; renovate and refurbish the Dong Ke village cultural house and other auxiliary items with a total investment of more than 18.8 billion VND to Plan 253/KH-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee for implementation in the period of 2021-2030; at the same time, allocate capital to implement the above 2 projects in the period of 2021-2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of the city Nguyen Nguyen Quan suggested that in the coming time, the district should focus on disbursing capital for projects that have been allocated; for projects that are behind schedule, it is necessary to clarify the causes in order to have timely solutions. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period in the district.
