Accordingly, every year, water from upstream flows through the Hieu River, causing hundreds of hectares of rice and crops to be flooded, making people's lives very difficult. More dangerously, the two banks of the Hieu River are severely eroded, causing the gradual loss of land and threatening the safety of people's lives and property.

In particular, the left bank of Hieu River through Moc Duc, Truong Xa, Dinh Xa villages has suffered serious landslides with a length of about 350 m, eating into the asphalt concrete road surface by 0.5 - 1 m. This is the only road connecting Cam Hieu - Cam Thuy communes, located close to the riverbank, serving rescue and relief for people in the northern area of Hieu River.

The construction of embankment on the Hieu River bank at the above landslide section to avoid soil erosion, ensure safety of life and production and living conditions for local people is very necessary.
