(Dan Tri) - The Department of Education of Ca Mau revoked and canceled the decision to correct the year of birth on the secondary school graduation certificate of a town People's Committee chairman in Bac Lieu province.
On December 22, according to a source from Dan Tri reporter, the Department of Education and Training (GD&DT) of Ca Mau province decided to withdraw and cancel Decision No. 14 (dated July 6, 2020) on editing the content recorded on the secondary school diploma of Mr. D.MT (birthplace of Minh Hai, now Ca Mau and Bac Lieu).
Mr. T. is currently Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu province.
Previously in 2020, Mr. T. applied to adjust the year of birth on his secondary school diploma from 1966 to 1964.
After that, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province issued Decision No. 14 (dated July 6, 2020) to correct the year of birth recorded on the secondary school graduation certificate, from 1966 to 1964, with the reason that according to Mr. T's identity card.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, the reason for revoking and canceling Decision No. 14 is due to improper implementation of the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the management of junior high school, high school, intermediate pedagogical college, college pedagogical diplomas, university degrees and certificates of the national education system.
Regarding Mr. D.MT's diploma, according to the reporter's investigation, recently the authorities of Bac Lieu province have requested the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province to verify whether Mr. T.'s secondary school diploma is legal or not.
Specifically, the secondary school diploma issued to Mr. T., graduated in the exam on January 9, 1985 at the Tac Van examination council; the certificate did not state the passing grade, and did not have the image and signature of the person who received the certificate.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, verification from various units showed that there was an exam session on January 9, 1985, but no records of the Tac Van exam council (where it was written on Mr. T's diploma) could be found.
According to the recent conclusion of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, after reviewing the regulations, the response document does not have enough basis to determine whether the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province signed the document confirming Mr. D.MT's secondary school diploma is legal or illegal.
