Summarizing the global and regional situation as well as the country's socio-economic development results in 2023, the Vice President said that with the guidelines, policies, and special attention of the Party, the State, and the whole society, the work of caring for, educating, and protecting children has made important progress. Emerging issues have been resolved more promptly and effectively. The results achieved are thanks to the joint efforts and contributions of the whole society, including the very important contribution of the Vietnam Children's Fund.
The Vice President praised the Vietnam Children's Support Fund for its efforts, overcoming difficulties, continuing to innovate its content and methods of operation, mobilizing about 110 billion VND, supporting more than 125,000 children - achieving the target set for 2023. The Vietnam Children's Support Fund is growing stronger and stronger, demonstrating great efforts and humane contributions from kind-hearted people, contributing to creating a beautiful image of the care of the Party, State and society for children.

Particularly praising the active support in both spirit and material for activities for Vietnamese children of enterprises, sponsors and philanthropists over the past time, the Vice President also acknowledged the contributions of relevant ministries and branches, in which the core is the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, which has closely directed and oriented the Vietnam Children's Fund so that its activities are in accordance with the regulations of the Party and State, keeping up with the common sentiment of Vietnamese children; acknowledged the timely support of the members of the Sponsoring Council in implementing the Fund's activities.
The Vice President hopes that in the coming time, the Vietnam Children's Fund will continue to make efforts to innovate the content, forms of activities, and methods of mobilization to suit the new situation, increasingly mobilize more kind hearts, and spread the meaning of the Fund's activities to care for children in a fundamental and sustainable way.

In addition, ministries, branches and members of the Protection Council continue to implement policies and laws on children; grasp the situation and promptly propose policies to best resolve issues related to children. At the same time, the Vice President hopes that organizations, individuals and businesses will continue to join hands and contribute to the entire political and social system in caring for children, especially children in difficult circumstances, to have conditions for comprehensive development.
Thanking the Vice President for taking the time to meet, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha expressed her gratitude to the sponsors and benefactors who have made positive contributions to activities for children in 2023; at the same time, she hoped that in the coming time, the sponsors would continue to devote more affection to accompany disadvantaged children across the country.
According to the report, in 2023, the Vietnam Children's Fund mobilized more than 99 billion VND, supporting about 125,500 children. The Fund's support activities focus mainly on the actual needs of children in difficult areas as well as the goals that the State prioritizes for children in the current period, in line with the Fund's principles and purposes. Some typical activities include smile surgery; support for building classrooms and boarding houses; support for bicycles; support for scholarships... The Fund's increasingly practical activities have created more trust and prestige for the Fund with sponsors and the community.
