Because the woodworking shop contained many flammable materials, the fire spread rapidly and intensely, making firefighting difficult.
On January 11th, authorities in Dong Nai province were investigating a fire at a woodworking factory specializing in the production of wooden pallets in Thien Tan commune, Vinh Cuu district.
Earlier, on the night of January 10th, a fire broke out at the woodworking factory and quickly spread, engulfing the entire factory, which covered nearly 1,000 square meters. The factory contained mostly flammable wood, and strong winds at the time of the fire caused the flames to intensify, rising dozens of meters into the air.
A wood processing factory caught fire in the border area between Vinh Cuu and Bien Hoa, Dong Nai province.
Local forces faced difficulties extinguishing the fire and therefore notified authorities for assistance. Upon receiving the fire report, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai Province, along with the Vinh Cuu District Police and Bien Hoa City Police, dispatched 8 fire trucks and dozens of officers and equipment to the scene to put out the fire.
The fire raged fiercely, sending columns of smoke dozens of meters into the air.
Because the timber facility covered a large area, professional firefighters had to split into multiple teams to surround and control the blaze.
