Nearly 1,400 Indian tourists this time were divided into small groups and boarded 33 cruise ships to visit Ha Long Bay on route 1, with the itinerary: Thien Cung Cave - Dau Go Cave - Cho Da Islet - Dinh Huong Islet - Ba Hang area - Trong Mai Islet. It is expected that at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the group will disembark and return to Hanoi. Tourists will visit Ha Long Bay and enjoy lunch on the cruise ships, with most of the traditional Indian dishes prepared in advance by Indian chefs at a restaurant in Ha Long and brought on board, ensuring food safety conditions.
In the following days, the remaining Indian tourists in the group of 4,500 will continue to split into groups to visit Ha Long Bay. Specifically, on August 30, there were 290 tourists, using 7 cruise ships; on August 31, there were 687 tourists, using 17 cruise ships; on September 1, there were 738 tourists, using 18 cruise ships; on September 2, there were 796 tourists, using 19 cruise ships; on September 6, there were 588 tourists, using 15 cruise ships.
Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Transport to ensure the safety of tourist ships; directed the Inland Waterways Port Authority to create favorable conditions for tourist ships in the work of granting permission to leave the port and the work of picking up and dropping off passengers at the port.
To ensure the reception of a large number of guests, departments, branches and service providers have prepared reception plans, vehicles, traffic flow, ensuring security and order, traffic safety on land and at sea, especially ensuring service quality, in order to create convenience and good impressions for the group of guests.
Ha Long Bay Management Board supports ticket purchasing, ticket control for visiting Ha Long Bay and tour programs at tourist attractions and services on Ha Long Bay.
The bay also arranges forces and means ready to support rescue work when necessary; provides explanations and introductions about Ha Long Bay and tour route No. 1 to introduce to the group of visitors.
The Department of Health directs the work of guiding and inspecting food safety and hygiene. According to the plan, the food for the group of guests will be prepared at the restaurant on shore and transferred to the cruise ships to serve the guests.
The Provincial Police and Ha Long City People's Committee support ensuring security and order, ensuring traffic safety, and managing the tourism business environment.
Ha Long City People's Committee directs waste collection and environmental sanitation in Ha Long Bay.
According to information from the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, the ticket price for route 1 is 250,000 VND/person/trip. With 5,000 Indian tourists, the total amount spent on tickets will be about 1.25 billion VND. In addition, tourists must also pay a port fee of 60,000 VND/person/trip and boat rental fee (depending on the contract between the travel agency representative and the boat owner).
Previously, Ha Long Bay and several other destinations in Quang Ninh also welcomed many Indian delegations, including two weddings of wealthy Indians held in Ha Long.
Since the beginning of the year, India has been one of the 10 largest international tourist markets to Quang Ninh. Ha Long Bay has also been honored by the Indian media as a magnet for tourists from this market. The good reception of this group of tourists is expected to create a media effect, widely promote the image of Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism as attractive and friendly, and be a premise for large groups of tourists from India to Quang Ninh in the near future.
