"Towards the Capital" won first prize in the street decoration design competition

At the Award Ceremony held on the morning of December 12 in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee said that the propaganda poster creation contest "Preserving, conserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics of Hanoi Capital" and the Hanoi City Decoration Design Campaign in 2023 were launched from May 2023.

After 4 months, the Organizing Committee received 165 works from many professional and non-professional authors.

The jury selected 16 outstanding works to award prizes, including: 1 First prize for author Nguyen Anh Minh with the poster promoting Historical and cultural relics, special resources contributing to socio-economic development ; 2 Second prizes awarded to author Nguyen Thi Huong with the work Preserving, maintaining and promoting intangible cultural values ​​of Hanoi - City for peace , Creative City and author Nguyen Manh Tuan with the work Preserving and transmitting the art of Dao Thuc water puppetry, national intangible cultural heritage .

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 3 Third prizes and 10 Consolation prizes.

Regarding the Hanoi City Decoration Design Campaign 2023, the Organizing Committee said that it received 90 entries to the contest with 2 forms of lighting decoration, including street decoration and model cluster and welcome gate decoration.

The Council for judging and awarding awards has organized a preliminary round of judging, selecting 24 qualified works to propose lighting decoration plans on the occasion of welcoming the New Year 2024, celebrating the Party, celebrating the Spring of Giap Thin and holidays and anniversaries of the country and the Capital in 2024.

In the final round, the Council selected 13 winning works, including: 1 First Prize for individuals for the work Towards Hanoi by artist Bui Van Long; 2 Second Prizes; 4 Third Prizes; 6 Encouragement Prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to groups.

Evaluating the quality of the entries, People's Artist Tran Quoc Chiem, Chairman of the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association and Chairman of the Jury, said that the two competitions had mobilized the talent, enthusiasm, and intelligence of many artists, companies, businesses, and universities specializing in fine arts and graphic design.

Many lighting decoration designs have a modern art style, breaking away from old ways, using new technology such as LED lights and 3D hologram fan technology to project and create shapes according to events or themes of each year.

The propaganda paintings highlighted the themes of the two competitions, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility of the masses, all levels and sectors, in preserving, conserving and promoting the values ​​of historical and cultural relics in the capital.

The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will display 29 of the best works from the two competitions at the Exhibition House, 45 Trang Tien, from December 12 to December 19.
