Responding to Savings Week, joining hands for the poor in 2025

Nearly 300 customers participated, more than 15 billion VND was mobilized on the first day of the Savings Deposit Week program, joining hands for the poor in 2025, organized by the Board of Directors of the Bank for Social Policies (BSP) of Son La province this morning, March 25. Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Nguyen Thai Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the BSP; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the province; along with representatives of enterprises and a large number of union members, youth, and members of mass organizations of the province.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested units and localities to step up the mobilization of enterprises, agencies, units, cadres, civil servants, public employees, members, workers and people in the area to actively participate in depositing savings. He also requested the Social Policy Bank to strengthen coordination with entrusted socio-political organizations at all levels to conduct lending assessments for the right subjects.

Also at the ceremony, 10 households in difficult circumstances were given loans of VND100 million each, creating conditions for them to develop their economy and escape poverty. Each organization, individual, and business participated by opening a savings book with a minimum of VND500,000, making a contribution or having a term of 1-12 months or more.   

After 5 years of launching, from 2021 to present, the Savings Week program, joining hands for the poor has attracted a large number of people to participate. Along with that, thanks to the positive response of individuals and organizations, the amount of money raised has continuously increased year by year, contributing to helping many policy families have capital to develop the economy.

The Savings Week, Joining Hands for the Poor 2025 takes place from March 25, 2025 to March 31, 2025, and will continue until April 25, 2025.
