Huong Son effectively implements solutions to protect the Party's ideological foundation.

Identifying the important task of firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, in recent times, the Party Committee of Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) has implemented many effective solutions.

The Party Cell of Son Lam Kindergarten (Son Lam Commune Party Committee) held a workshop on "The role and responsibility of cadres and party members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation".

Implementing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2018 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation", in recent years, the Standing Committee of Huong Son District Party Committee has developed plans, promptly disseminated and oriented information for cadres, party members and people on complex and sensitive current issues of public concern; actively fighting against erroneous views and bad information on the internet and social networks.

Over the past 5 years, the district has produced over 25,000 news, articles, images, and videos to propagate the Party and State's policies and guidelines.

The district also established Steering Committee 35 from the district to the grassroots level, the Fatherland Front and organizations, collaborators, youth union members and members. The Steering Committee is the core force in the fight against wrong and hostile views on cyberspace; organizes to grasp public opinion, listen to people's opinions. In addition, localities, agencies and units actively set up Zalo, Fanpage and Facebook groups among cadres and party members to exchange and share official information sources.

The Propaganda Department of Huong Son District Party Committee organized a review and appraisal of entries for the "Political writing contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation".

In particular, to bring this content into depth, in 2023, the District Party Committee has developed Party cell activity topics with the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style on promoting cultural traditions and people of Huong Son"; "The role and responsibility of cadres and party members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation". The topics have been thoroughly and consistently disseminated among cadres and party members; to date, 412/412 Party cells and grassroots Party committees have completed the dissemination of the topics.

Comrade Phan Boi Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Son Lam Commune Party Committee shared: “At the end of August, 11 Party cells under the Son Lam Commune Party Committee completed organizing a thematic meeting on “The role and responsibility of cadres and party members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation”. Based on the content provided by the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, we filtered and supplemented content suitable to local realities, thereby helping cadres and party members easily understand and remember the information. The thematic meeting contributed to creating changes in the awareness of party members, especially young party members, thereby changing their behavior and contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation”.

Huong Son District Party Committee honored 5 organizations and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Political writing contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation".

Huong Son is also one of the leading localities in organizing and implementing the "Political writing contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation". In addition to guiding topics, themes, and training knowledge, Huong Son District Party Committee promptly commended collectives and individuals who successfully implemented the contest.

Thanks to that, after 3 months of implementation (from April to June 2023), the contest attracted more than 800 authors of all ages in the district to participate with 802 articles. This is also the district's source of documents in propagating and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

In addition, the relevant authorities have actively and resolutely taken action to handle violations of the law on cyber security. From 2018 to 2022, the relevant authorities have detected 35 cases of posting false and contradictory information on cyberspace; established administrative records for 11 cases, imposed fines of VND 75 million; and issued warnings and requests to remove false information in 24 cases.

Firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation contributes to creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development in the area.

Mr. Bui Nhan Sam - Secretary of Huong Son District Party Committee said: "The district Party Committee is continuing to synchronously deploy solutions to protect the Party's ideological foundation, focusing on educating and fostering ethics and political ideology in cadres, party members and people; promoting the spirit of "self-reflection and self-correction" in each cadre and party member; being clear-headed in selecting and receiving information, promptly detecting and fighting against false and hostile arguments; grasping social ideology and opinion to promptly orient... In the immediate future, from the beginning of October 2023, deploying an internet quiz contest "Learning about the history of Huong Son District Party Committee", thereby educating local history, promoting the traditional culture of Huong Son people".
