Huong Son "harvests" at the provincial-level competition for excellent preschool teachers

Pho Chau Town Kindergarten is the unit with 4 teachers participating in the contest and all achieved high prizes.

At the Ha Tinh Provincial Excellent Preschool Teacher Competition for the 2024-2025 school year, the entire Huong Son district had 18 teachers participating, coming from 9 preschools in the area including: Pho Chau town, Kim Hoa, Son Kim 1, Tay Son town, Son Tay, Quang Diem, Son Ninh, Son Bang, My Long (Pho Chau town Kindergarten and Kim Hoa Kindergarten, each school had 4 teachers participating). As a result, 16/18 teachers won prizes, including 1 first prize, 7 second prizes, 4 third prizes; the rest were consolation prizes, becoming one of the leading units in the province.

The competition lesson of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hau Vuong won second prize in the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Pho Chau Town Kindergarten is a unit with 4 teachers participating in the competition and all of them won high prizes (1 first prize, 3 second prizes). This is not the first time the school has "received" high prizes, previously, in 2021, 2 teachers of the school participating in the competition won 1 first prize, 1 second prize.

This success is the result of the careful preparation of each teacher participating in the contest, from the presentation round (how to choose a topic, solutions to improve the quality of preschool education and care) to the practical round of child care skills which were highly appreciated by the judges.

Along with that, it is the companionship and facilitation from the school's Board of Directors, the District Department of Education and Training; and the support of colleagues that have made outstanding successes. Principal of Pho Chau Town Kindergarten Nguyen Thi Hong Sa said: "About 1 month before the contest, the school arranged a schedule for substitute teaching so that the teachers participating in the contest have the opportunity to review. During the contest, in addition to financial support, arranging transportation, and thoughtful accommodation, the school also arranged a team of supporting teachers to ensure that the teachers' performance was completed in the best way possible."

Ms. Phan Thi Nga - teacher of Pho Chau Town Kindergarten who just won first prize at the contest said: "Having achieved high results at the contest, I am always grateful for the attention and maximum support of the school's Board of Directors and professional team so that I have the opportunity to learn, improve my knowledge, apply it into practical teaching hours, thereby improving my own capacity. During the process of taking the contest, I focused on innovating methods, forms of assessment, and ways of organizing teaching activities with a child-centered spirit to promote children's positivity and initiative, thereby aiming for comprehensive educational effectiveness".

Like Pho Chau Town Kindergarten, Kim Hoa Kindergarten had 4 teachers participating in the contest and all won prizes (1 second prize, 1 third prize, 2 consolation prizes). Notably, Kim Hoa Kindergarten is one of the disadvantaged schools with 4 campuses, located in locations far apart in Kim Hoa commune.

Principal of Kim Hoa Kindergarten Tran Thi Ha said: "Although the school's activities face many difficulties, fortunately we have many talented young teachers who are dedicated to their profession. Participating in the provincial excellent teacher competition for preschoolers this year, the school provides maximum financial support, creating conditions for teachers to improve their knowledge; the Board of Directors directly participates in orienting appropriate topics for the teachers participating in the competition, assigning teachers with special talents in each field to tutor and provide additional guidance during the competition."

Head of the Department of Education and Training of Huong Son District, Nguyen Truong Giang, shared: The provincial-level competition for excellent preschool teachers ended with the district's prizes achieving quite high quality, which shows that the training and screening work at the district level is quite guaranteed. In addition, the training and fostering work before the competition was organized thoroughly and methodically; the participation of school leaders, parents' associations and relatives of teachers participating in the competition contributed to the victory of the whole district in the recent competition.
