Flavors of the Highlands

Spring is knocking on the door of every region, every house, every community. Journalist and poet Nguyen Hong Vinh is "racing" with spring, recently returning to the Northern Delta, then to the Nine Dragons; from the Northwest, he went to the port city of Hai Phong. And now, he has come to the red basalt plateau, full of coffee, rubber and all kinds of green vegetables. "You" in the poem is happily going to the fields, the "windy season" of the plateau makes her silky black hair flutter, coincidentally meeting her lover visiting the specialized production area. Beautiful memories flood back. The cherished dreams now have the opportunity to "sprout" to help "you" boldly ask: " This spring, can you?..." . "You" is silent, "you" takes another step: "If you don't pick them, they will fall!". The pure, poetic love story is "wrapped up" by the author with romantic images: " Sunset sinking behind the mountain/ Hand in hand down the pass" . A new dawn will open for the couple who have gone through days of nurturing love through hard work, but are very optimistic because they have found the meaning of life.

Respectfully introduce this poem about love between couples, creating the spring beauty of the highlands:

FRAGRANCE OF THE HIGHLANDS

Gift for Le Vi Thuy

“Pleiku in the windy season” 1

Your hair flies over the hill

The stream slowed down.

Is there a hair you have fallen?

Back loaded with corn and potatoes

I walk and sing

Meet me at the mountain pass

Fatigue disappears quickly!

Lak Lake is dry this season

As if still printed between us

Moonlit Season Mood

Wet night with dew…

Highland Scent Image 2

Heavy with fruit coffee forest

Golden rice terraces

Meet each other in the field

He asked tentatively: "this spring"?!...

Highland Fragrance Image 3

Main coffee season

The whole hill is bright

He smiled happily like Tet:

"If you don't pick it, it will fall"!

Highland Fragrance Image 4

Bright yellow wild sunflowers

Sloping hills

Sunset behind the mountain

Hand in hand down the pass…
