Here, the delegation highly appreciated the initiative, creativity and efficiency in the work of preserving and promoting the heritage values of Hue Ancient Capital, especially the pioneering steps in digital transformation.
According to Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center Hoang Viet Trung, In recent years, the Center has not only focused on researching and restoring royal court rituals, collecting Nha Nhac, Tuong, and Royal Dance pieces, but also actively digitizing documents, records, and valuable artifacts. Notably, the Center has completed a digital database on Hue Royal Tuong, collected 41 Nha Nhac pieces, restored 17 Ca Chuong performances, built 22 scientific dossiers, and promoted heritage in 9 countries...
From November 2022, the e-ticket system will officially operate at the Hue Monuments Complex, completely replacing the traditional ticket sales method. This not only brings convenience to visitors but also helps the unit manage data, forecast and evaluate operational efficiency better.
The application of directions in the Imperial Citadel, explanations using QR codes and positioning technology, along with a surveillance camera system, AI to identify visitor traffic, free wifi... have helped improve the quality of experience and operation of the relic. Many relic sites have been digitized using 360-degree technology and created 3D tourist maps for reference and exploration.

In 2024, the Center scanned, 3D digitized and identified 207 Nguyen Dynasty artifacts, piloted the application of NFC chips and blockchain technology to authenticate digital ownership values. This is a pioneering step in Vietnam, linking physical artifacts with digital versions, helping to prevent counterfeiting and increase interactivity. Through blindbox arttoy products, the Center has opened a new direction for the heritage-based cultural industry.
Not stopping there, the Center also deployed TapQuest - a smart interactive technology that records the presence of tourists at historical sites such as the Imperial Citadel, Hai Van Quan, etc. The project connects with the National Data Center, allowing data to be integrated into the Vietnam tourism platform - affirming Hue's pioneering role in digitizing heritage associated with tourism experiences.
From virtual reality applications (VR/XR), GIS platforms in tree and landscape management, to database software for tangible and intangible heritage... all conservation activities in Hue are gradually shifting to a more modern, transparent, and intelligent form.
Speaking at the meeting, a representative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to continue to promote its leading role in research, conservation, digital transformation of heritage, expand international cooperation, and strengthen connections between research institutes and museums at home and abroad.
