At the same time, strengthen domestic and international tourism promotion and advertising to attract tourists; amend and supplement preferential policies on opening new flight routes to Phu Bai International Airport.
Since the T2 International Terminal of Phu Bai International Airport came into operation (April 28, 2023), Thua Thien Hue province has deployed and cooperated with domestic airlines and international partners to develop flight routes, promote and attract visitors from many countries to the ancient capital of Hue; maintain quite well charter flights from the exploited routes such as Thua Thien Hue - Kunming City (Yunnan Province, China); Thua Thien Hue - Seoul (Korea); Thua Thien Hue - Taipei (Taiwan), including about 10 flights from Taiwan (China).
The provincial tourism industry also aims to strongly attract international visitors by air from direct flights. Charter flights are just the initial task, the goal is to move towards commercial flights, maintaining and developing regular flights to and from Phu Bai International Airport.
