Hidari's educational tiktok channel is very popular
Before becoming a full-time content creator, Hidari (Ri for short) worked for a multinational company for nearly 5 years. Her job at that time was to monitor and build good relationships with influencers.
She began to understand that content creator is truly a new-age profession that can develop well and bring in a stable source of income.
And Ri captured the early days of educational content on Tiktok.
Happy Hidari was one of the first accounts to seriously and regularly share about the topic of notebook decoration, stationery and studying on TikTok at that time, so it attracted many viewers. Digital decoration is a very new topic, only in the last 1-2 years but Hidari has been pursuing this path for a long time.
She said, "When I first started my channel, I tried many topics from vlogs, lifestyle, cooking, etc. I didn't plan to share about bullet journals because I saw that the community in Vietnam wasn't strong. But because it's also a big hobby in my daily life, I just posted photos/videos of my notebooks, decorated them, and posted them, as a way to regularly add content to the channel.
Luckily, I was welcomed in a very unexpected way. Thanks to that, I realized that many people are like me: having difficulty in organizing tasks, organizing logical thoughts and needing support tools. And writing a notebook is a simple but very intuitive and useful tool."
Among the myriad of tiktok channels, Hidari's channel stands out for its educational element.
According to Hidari, this type of content used to be framed as "for children" (under 10 years old). But in recent years, awareness of mental health care has increased, and adults and young people have gradually realized the importance of not only the outside but also the inside. Young people have an existential crisis, and adults realize that they have many wounds and seek ways to heal. In addition to therapy, the easiest and most direct way to find the inside is through writing, drawing, and other manual tools. Many scientific studies have proven this.
Happy Hidari channel is very popular
"Through the Happy Hidari channel, I have witnessed middle and high school students getting more inspiration to study by adding colors to their notebooks, stressed out workers taking out their notebooks and prioritizing their work better, and many, many people finding joy in decorating notebooks and collecting pretty stickers - a hobby that couldn't be cuter and healthier. I'm very happy to be a part of this super "healthy" trend," she said.
