On the morning of April 16, the 2025 Thong Nhat Speed Cup Athletics Tournament officially kicked off at the District 8 Cultural and Sports Center (HCMC). In particular, the women's 100m hurdles event for the team's age group attracted attention with the participation of Huynh Thi My Tien.
The girl born in 1999 is currently on the payroll of Dong Nai . Having won the national championship last year, as well as winning the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games, Huynh Thi My Tien is highly appreciated for winning.
In addition, the fact that her direct competitor Bui Thi Nguyen did not participate in this year's tournament brought more opportunities for My Tien. The result was not beyond expectations when My Tien showed her superiority and came in first, winning the gold medal at this year's Speed Cup.
Her result was 13.72 seconds. Sharing after winning the gold medal, the Vietnamese "hot girl athlete" said: "Today my result is normal. The parameter of 13.72 seconds is not good, so I need to try harder in the next tournaments.
At this Speed Cup Athletics Tournament, my goal is to check my early year results and at the same time get used to the feeling of competition to better prepare for the following tournaments."

She also shared that she is actively training to prepare for the Asian Championship in May, then the 33rd SEA Games at the end of the year. Accordingly, My Tien's goal is to improve her performance and at least enter the top 3.
The 2025 Thong Nhat Speed Cup Athletics Tournament takes place on April 16 and 17, including short-distance events such as 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, as well as shot put, javelin throw, long jump, high jump, and discus throw.
The tournament is also divided into many age groups, providing an opportunity for young athletes to compete and gain experience.
