Ha Tinh Cooperative strengthens links, expands development opportunities

On the morning of April 9, the Ha Tinh Cooperative Alliance organized a collective economic forum with the theme “Cooperatives - Building a better world”. Leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations attended.

On April 11, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh wrote a letter calling on Vietnamese farmers and landlords to join agricultural cooperatives.

Recognizing the great contributions of the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the country's reconstruction, on April 11, 1964, Uncle Ho sent a letter to the Cooperative Congress and the advanced agricultural production team in the mountainous and midland areas, praising the typical advanced cooperatives and requesting that all levels and sectors pay attention to directing the development of agricultural cooperatives.

Through many historical periods and with the attention of the Party and State, collective economy and cooperatives have achieved many results, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

In recent times, Ha Tinh Cooperative Union has performed well its role as a consultant and supporter of collective economy, contributing to the development of cooperatives in both quantity and quality, and diversifying their types of activities.

The province currently has 3 cooperative unions, 1,010 cooperatives, 2,623 cooperative groups with more than 94,000 members, contributing significantly to the completion of new rural construction criteria in localities such as: production organization, job creation, income increase, poverty reduction, rural trade, environment and social security.

Many cooperatives have applied new science and technology to production according to the value chain, linking production with market expansion and brand building. Ha Tinh currently has 239 products meeting OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher, including 82 OCOP products of cooperatives and cooperative groups, accounting for over 34% of the total number of OCOP products in the province.

At the forum, delegates assessed the current situation, advantages and difficulties in developing cooperatives; shared experiences, good models, effective methods; proposed policies and support solutions for the sustainable development of the cooperative system...

Closing the forum, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union Nguyen Ngoc Hung emphasized: To realize the goal of building a better world through the cooperative model, Ha Tinh continues to promote awareness of people, especially the young generation, about the role, significance and potential of cooperatives in socio-economic development; together contribute ideas to build and perfect institutions and support policies, creating favorable conditions for cooperatives to access capital, land, training and technology transfer.

Cooperatives need to continue to innovate in organization and improve operational efficiency; build and replicate new cooperative models associated with key commodity value chains, large scale, in the direction of regional linkage; actively participate in digital transformation, apply digital technology in production and business; strengthen trade promotion activities, introduce products...

The Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union requested departments, branches and localities to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions in all aspects for the collective economy and cooperatives to develop sustainably; contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals set by the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
