Mr. Han Sang Deog, Deputy General Director of Samsung Engineering Vietnam, assessed that Vietnam has achieved outstanding economic growth in recent times and will need to continue to maintain this growth in the future. However, the development of industry leads to an inevitable problem, which is environmental pollution. Along with that, Vietnam needs to make efforts to realize its commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

To address all three challenges, Samsung Engineering is proposing a strategy called “Integrated Environmental Complex” for environmental projects in Vietnam. This is a circular economy environmental complex that integrates wastewater treatment, waste treatment and biogas into one complex and uses self-generated energy without using external energy sources.

Regarding cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City in general and the city's enterprises in particular, especially in the field of green economy and circular economy, Mr. Han Sang Deog said that Samsung Engineering has long been interested in and considered investing in the field of wastewater treatment and waste incineration for power generation to solve environmental problems in the city. "Samsung Engineering will cooperate with the City People's Committee to invest in environmental projects that can improve the living environment of the people," Mr. Han Sang Deog affirmed.
