On October 21, in Hanoi, Vietnam Post Corporation and Global Technology and Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement.

This agreement aims to promote the strengths of the two units to improve their ability to serve people, businesses and the government.

Accordingly, Vietnam Post and GTEL will cooperate to develop and provide postal services, with specific tasks such as: Deploying the service of receiving documents and returning results of administrative procedures of the Public Security sector through postal services for individuals and organizations in need; researching and developing solutions for delivery of goods and letters by drones, especially in mountainous and remote areas...

The two units also agreed to coordinate in implementing Project 06; applying and integrating Vietnam Post's digital address platform and the two sides' digital maps to support business operations and production activities.

Vietnam Post and GTEL also plan to cross-sell products, provide service packages and common products; provide IoT devices, Gmobile mobile SIMs, scratch cards, and mobile top-ups at distribution agents and post office service points.

At the same time, coordinate the implementation of postal financial services, distribution business and other services and products according to capacity and demand.

In addition, the two units will cooperate to research the deployment of virtual mobile network - MVNO of Vietnam Post in the near future.

Creating conditions for postal services to soon become essential national infrastructure The postal development strategy defines a vision for 2030, with postal services becoming essential national infrastructure and the digital economy. The proposed amendment to the 2010 Postal Law will create conditions for postal services to soon achieve this goal.
