DNO - On the morning of January 17, within the framework of the event "Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Meet Danang 2025", the City People's Committee organized an international cooperation workshop to promote business investment and take advantage of new trends.

In his opening speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that in recent times, Da Nang has made efforts to maximize its "internal strength", combined with "external strength", and strengthened international cooperation to boost development, affirming the role of the economic growth pole of the Central Highlands - Central region, Vietnam.
In 2024, the city's economy will achieve many positive results. GRDP is estimated to increase by 7.51% compared to 2023. The scale of the city's economy at current prices is estimated to reach more than 151,307 billion VND, expanding by nearly 17,086 billion VND compared to 2023.
In particular, some key economic sectors and fields continue to develop strongly and flourish, such as tourism, industrial production, and information technology.
In particular, recently, the National Assembly passed Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city.
The resolution officially takes effect on January 1, 2025, marking an important milestone in the city's development process with new development drivers such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, startups, innovation, free trade zones, etc.
Besides, along with Ho Chi Minh City being oriented to develop a comprehensive international financial center, Da Nang was chosen to pilot the development of a regional-scale financial center.
Faced with new opportunities, new opportunities and advantages, Da Nang hopes that partners, business community and investors will continue to promote cooperation, investment and business activities in the city.
Especially in the fields where businesses have strengths and Da Nang focuses on developing such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, innovation, free trade zones, international financial centers, etc.
The city leaders are committed to continuously creating and improving a favorable and stable business environment for businesses and investors. The success of businesses and investors is also the success of the city.
At the workshop, representatives of the Danang Investment Promotion and Support Board presented investment opportunities in the context of new trends in Danang city; representatives of the Department of Science and Technology presented policies to promote startups and innovation in the city and representatives of the Department of Information and Communications shared information on policies to develop the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors.
The workshop also included presentations by the Mayor of Genoa (Italy), representatives of Chinese localities (Jiangsu, Shaanxi); businesses and investors from the United States, Taiwan (China)...
