At the meeting, Chinese cadres, soldiers, and people... participating in the Hoa Van force had time to share about the heroic years of fighting until the day the South was completely liberated on April 30, 1975.

As a member of the Hoa Van force, Mr. Hoang Trung Tru said that he joined the Hoa Van force in 1962. On April 1, 1975, his unit began marching from Binh Duong to Saigon. Upon arriving in Saigon, Mr. Tru's group was assigned to protect assets in factories and workshops and wait for the day of handover to the liberation army...
"We are honored to join this force during the resistance war against America to join the people in creating a historic victory for the entire nation," said Mr. Hoang Trung Tru.
Mr. Luu Ngau, Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hoa Van Armed Forces, also reviewed the tradition of the Hoa Van Armed Forces during the two resistance wars against France and the United States. Overcoming countless difficulties, the Hoa Van Armed Forces bravely fought for the cause of independence and freedom of the nation and of Vietnam and achieved many outstanding feats.
Accordingly, during the two resistance wars, thousands of Hoa Van soldiers and revolutionary Chinese people sacrificed, were injured, and were arrested and imprisoned. The contributions of the Hoa Van armed forces and Chinese people were recognized by the Party and the State and awarded many noble titles. Among them, there were 14 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 4 Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, 235 recognized martyrs, 1 Ho Chi Minh Medal, 16 Independence Medals of First, Second, and Third Class.
The Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh Special Zone Flower Movement Committee was also awarded the noble title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
To maintain and promote the revolutionary tradition, in recent times, the Liaison Committee of the Hoa Van Armed Forces as well as the Chinese people have actively participated in social charity, culturaland educational movements, gratitude... to join hands in building and developing Ho Chi Minh City.
