Meeting to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association

- The An Giang Provincial Antiques Association has just held a meeting to celebrate its 5th anniversary, term 2020 - 2025, at Con En Eco-tourism Site, Tan My Commune (Cho Moi District).

Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association Nguyen Kim Quyen, along with representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, An Giang Museum, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ca Mau, Bien Hoa Relics and Antiquities Club, collectors and members, members of the Executive Committee of the An Giang Antiquities Association.

The An Giang Provincial Antiques Association officially operated from February 2020 according to the Charter approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, complying with legal regulations and state management of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and related departments. The Association is participated by collectors from the provinces: An Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Dak Lak, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho City.

Over the past 5 years, the association has coordinated with An Giang, Ca Mau, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Museums to carry out the following topics: "Quintessence of Collection" (2020), "Quintessence of Vietnamese Ceramics" in 2023, "Dragon Image in Traditional Vietnamese Decorative Art" in 2024, displaying and donating artifacts to Ca Mau Museum in 2023; participating in the display of Lotus on Pottery at the "First Dong Thap Province Lotus Festival" in 2022.

At the same time, the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association has mobilized collectors to donate many artifacts to the museums of An Giang, Ca Mau, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau... contributing to raising awareness of preserving national cultural heritage.

On this occasion, the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association commended 8 members with outstanding achievements in performing their duties and developing the Association's collection movement in the period of 2020 - 2025; and awarded membership cards to new members. At the same time, the Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 17 members, was introduced. Ms. Nguyen Kim Quyen continued to be appointed as President of the An Giang Provincial Antiquities Association for the 2025 - 2030 term.
