The second training session took place enthusiastically with the opening part of the drum performance with the theme "Epic of Victory" by 1,000 students of the People's Police Academy. This was also the opening performance in the Art Program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The resounding, bustling sound from nearly 800 drums of various sizes and especially the 9 largest thunder drums in Vietnam (diameter over 2 m, height over 4 m) was like a call, arousing national pride on the eve of the glorious historical event of the country.

After the drum performance, the groups of forces departed from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, and proceeded through Le Duan Street, passing by Thong Nhat Hall.

In addition to the Vietnamese forces, the armies of the two neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia also participated in the parade. The Royal Cambodian Army and the Lao Army participated in the parade at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense , demonstrating the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the people and armies of the three countries.

The second rehearsal attracted special attention from many people. It is expected that Ho Chi Minh City will continue with the preliminary rehearsal on the evening of April 25 and the State-level rehearsal on the morning of April 27, before the official parade takes place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30.

The parade in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30 is a national event. After passing through the Reunification Hall, the parade force splits into four directions and moves to the assembly point. The routes the group passes through all have large LED screens to help people easily follow.

The parade consisted of 36 groups of armed forces and police, jointly carried out by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security . The next parade was undertaken by Ho Chi Minh City, consisting of 12 groups with about 13,050 participants.

The program includes 21 cannon salutes to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; air force salute; parade of model cars with the National Emblem - Party flag, national flag, car carrying portrait of President Ho Chi Minh , model car symbolizing the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day...
